Heart Breaker by Vivid Entertainment had ten scenes of Jenna Jameson but sadly there was nothing new here for long time fans to appreciate. There was nothing on the DVD cover to indicate it was a compilation of older scenes (not everyone keeps up with the porn world that closely) and with such limited extras, the slightly enhanced visuals thanks to the higher bitrate really weren’t enough to merit a rating of anything but a Rent It for me. There have already been so many compilations starring Jenna that have come out and so many of these scenes have been used in them that anything higher for a rating would be ignoring that fact. Still, if you are new to Jenna Jameson’s work at the company and you’d like a nice sampler of it in a single volume, you could do a lot worse than Heart Breaker so check it out.

While the babes-in-the-woods routine has become scattershot with every new entry into the genre, Miles From Needles ups the ante while successfully hinting at more severe fare from the golden age of the backwoods creeper.  And even though the splatter is kept to a minimum, the psychological terror which all involved inspire is actually quite scary: Evan as the hulking psychopath, Kimberly as the loose screw that holds him together, their beaten down child Constance (Mr. Deen), and Steven St. Croix’s portrayal of an unhinged, choke-happy husband.  Likewise, both Savanna and April hold their own as the freaked-out victims (and sometimes perpetrators), though Ms. Blossom’s turn, both story-bound and sex-wise, was the true highlight of the whole journey.  Her scenes burn the brightest, with Kim’s jail house and outdoor scenes a second close, followed by Maria’s double-teamed hurricane.  Savanna may be the outright star, but her cohorts keep the picture moving and on point throughout (and she’s no slouch, herself!).   Even if you’re wary of anything resembling a storyline, Miles From Needles comes Recommended by this devout gonzo-lover;  just be sure to keep a light on!

Paul Thomas had the right combination of cast members working together in Cry Wolf. Monique out did herself from the very beginning playing the role of a rape victim. As I watched, I wonder how she was able to get inside the mind of a rape victim and how one would reaction, was all too real for my book. The emotions she carried over into her scene, made me wonder if she has ever been in that position and I pray not. The excellent storyline was very well written and an engaging film that should keep you glued to the television not exclusively for the sex, but for the plot as well. Mr. Marcus and  Monique  worked  very well together and  left  me  feeling bad for him in the  film  for being duped by her in her  sick and  twisted  role-playing  game. Seeing Steven St. Croix, as a pimp-villain was different from the  previous roles I have usually seen him in and he portrayed the role very well. Playing the role of a villain did him very well. Even Marco’s Leon role was very believable. I didn’t feel sorry for him when Sylvia got even with him at the end, he got exactly what he dished out to Sylvia and then some! Cry Wolf shows just how much betrayal went on between the characters and what each one gained or lost. In some case some lost more than the others. Overall Cry Wolf is a  must  watch for the  two “firsts” for Monique Alexander, her  first anal scene with Marco Leon and  working  together with Mr. Marcus, who I must  say is one  very  good looking man. One that I would love to have a sit down with him. With all the  plot  twist and  turns, I can’t imagine  Cry Wolf not being nominated  for a few AVN awards.

Where The Boys Aren’t 19: Arabian Nights by director Chi Chi LaRue for Vivid Entertainment will likely be one of the most heavily promoted lesbian flicks of the year and had it been released back in 2005, I’d probably have liked it better in the context of the times. Compared to more recent outings by some of the cast, especially lesbian outings, it just failed to really catch my attention over many more generic but competently shot titles where the ladies were either more into the action or the editing making it look that way. I’m not going to dog out a movie for being what it advertises itself as being but if you’ve watched as many in the series as I have, you’ll note that the style over substance manner in which it was shot, produced, and now released was markedly similar to previous volumes, best suited for those that liked them (generally people that see little porn to compare it to) and meriting a rating of Rent It. In short, Where The Boys Aren’t 19: Arabian Nights had powerhouses such as Lanny Barby, Tera Patrick, Savanna Samson, Monique Alexander and more propping it up but even they could not make it better than it was, despite my wanting so much for it to be better. Give it a look and you will likely see what I mean but if you’re a fan of the cast and desire to have all their work, by all means go grab a copy.

Penny Flame’s Expert Guide To Rough Sex by director Penny Flame for Vivid Ed was much more of a newbie’s guide to the subject than a seasoned porn reviewer such as myself could use but it did lay the groundwork for further discussion and merited a rating of Highly Recommended in the genre itself. Penny was once again a treat and the sexual activity was a lot more heated than some of the admittedly dry action from previous works in the series. I would have liked more content in the field and better extras but considering how little is out there for those wanting to check out rough sex play, my thumb on the scale is relatively slight (the movie works on both levels; as educational fodder and as a stroke flick). In short, Penny Flame’s Expert Guide To Rough Sex will satisfy the newcomers to rough sex and fans of the cast, Penny, Aiden, and Lexi all giving solid performances.

Pros: Couples seem into it, educational piece is useful, commentary during the scenes can be turned off.  Cons: No condoms used though there was a safe sex educational piece at the end.
This DVD goes over rough sex in a very basic manner. It goes over safety, communication, and consenting- which are key in any sexual relationship especially one involving rough sex. The educational pieces are informative and sure to especially help those just getting into rough sex. The scenes are not only informative, but also hot as hell to watch.
